UC Berkeley alumnus James P. Glaser, who earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in political science from Berkeley, has been named dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Tufts University, after a distinguished career as a member of the Tufts faculty and a Tufts administrator.

Congratulations to Professor Thad Dunning, whose co-authored book Brokers, Voters and Clientelism: The Puzzle of Distributive Politics has been selected as both the recipient of the APSA Luebbert Prize for the best book of 2013 in comparative politics and the 2013 Best Book Award from APSA's Comparative Democratization Section.

Congratulations to Daniel A. Tuchler and Shelby H. Nacino who were selected to receive the inaugural William "Sandy" K. Muir Student Leadership Endowment Awards for 2014.
