I am a PhD student focusing on Renaissance and early modern political thought, especially natural-law traditions. My research interests also extend to normative political theory, particularly theories of equality, as well as methodological issues in approaching past political ideas. I am currently working on my second-year paper on right reason and equity in Thomas Hobbes's major writings.
Prior to joining Berkeley, I received MA in Cultural, Intellectual and Visual History from the Warburg Institute (2022) and MA in the History of Political Thought and Intellectual History from Queen Mary, University of London and University College London (2021). I also hold a BPhil in Philosophy and a BSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Peking University (2020).
