Angelica Remache Lopez
Angelica Remache Lopez is a Ph.D. student at the University of California, Berkeley, specializing in Comparative Politics, Political Economy, and Methods. Her research interests focus on migration, economic development, and corruption. She is particularly interested in the Latin American region, where her research has examined how political corruption may incentivize emigration; the impact of youth unemployment on migration; and the effects of government performance on economic and human development. She employs a mixed-methods approach in her research, including applied causal inference methods. Prior to pursuing her Ph.D., Angelica served as a member of the Economic, Political, and Legal cluster at the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly.
Angelica holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin and a master’s in International Relations with a concentration in Political Economy from Harvard University.
