The John Gardner Public Service Fellowship proudly announces its 2025–2026 Class of Fellows:
- Antonio Cáceres (History; Public Policy minor): Education and Affordable Housing
- Karishma Goswami (Society and Environment; Public Policy minor): Environmental Policy
- Nouhamin Leoulekal (Legal Studies; African American Studies minor): Criminal Justice
The Gardner Fellowship program selects three outstanding Fellows from UC Berkeley’s graduating class, awarding each a $52,000 stipend to work for ten months with a governmental or nonprofit organization that aligns with their public service interests. Previous Fellows have worked at organizations such as the US House Committee on Natural Resources, the U.S. State Department, and the Office of Governor Gavin Newsom.
Throughout the Fellowship, Fellows are paired with senior-level mentors who support their professional development and leadership growth. We are excited to help these exceptional Fellows discover meaningful postgraduate public service opportunities.
The UC Berkeley Gardner Fellowship Program is sponsored by UC Berkeley's Charlies & Louise Travers Political Science Department and the Institute of Governmental Studies.
