Peter Ryan
My principal research interests are regulatory politics and bureaucracy, mainly at the U.S. federal level but also in international contexts; substantively, I focus on the study of public policy relating to the financial services industry. Broadly, my work variously incorporates elements from a variety of disciplines and sub-disciplines, including political economy, public administration, public policy, American political development, and political parties. My current research is mainly focused on examining the role of federal regulators in shaping policy debates and outcomes in the area of financial regulatory policy.
I have recently completed the Ph.D. program and am located in Washington DC at the University of California Washington Center. However please feel free to email me with any questions about my research or the political science program more generally.
