Cristian Calzada

Cristian is a first-year PhD student in international relations and is interested in the mobilization of non-state groups and their influence on global actors, with a specific interest in extremist groups and how they influence international systems and security. His past research explores gender in executive cabinets, focusing on trends in Latin America. Previously, he attended the Bush School at Texas A&M and holds a BS in Political Science. He was named a Society for Political Methodology Undergraduate Fellow in 2023.
