Personal Statement
Hello! I am a first-year PhD student in the Charles and Louise Travers Department of Political Science here at Berkeley. My work lies at the intersections of race, gender, and democracy, and explores the interlocking experiences and political practices of Black women within right-wing politics. I am particularly interested in Black, Republican women as framers of neoconservative thought. I also study attitudes around self-management abortion in the U.S. among both abortion seekers and providers. Visit Project SANA for more on this research.
I hold BAs in Government, African and African Diaspora Studies, and Women's and Gender Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
