Tara Buss is a Ph.D. candidate studying comparative, Latin American politics. Her dissertation examines the effects of insecurity and violence on public opinion and political behavior in Mexico. Broad research interests include political psychology and behavior, public opinion research, drug trafficking and illicit markets, urban poverty, and the politics of Mexico and Central America.
Prior to coming to UC Berkeley, Tara graduated from UC San Diego with B.A.s in Political Science and Latin American Studies, both with honors.
Currently, Tara is living in Mexico City conducting interviews for her dissertation.
