Peter Osnes

Peter is a third year student in American Politics at the Charles and Louise Travers Political Science Department at the University of California, Berkeley. Currently, Peter is interested in rigorously measuring the causal effects of information and communication on voter behavior and awareness of government services, as well as more generally the Social Sciences' shift towards more transparent research methods. He went to the University of Colorado, at Boulder. There, Peter participated in ongoing research projects with Scott Adler, Jeff Harden, and John Griffin. His thesis discussed the determinants of Legislative Effectiveness of Freshman in the United States House of Representatives within the framework of Volden and Wiseman's Legislative Effectiveness Scores (summa cum laude, 2014).
