Personal Statement:

I am a PhD student in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on comparative politics and political theory. Within comparative politics, I am interested in the political economy of climate change, inequality, and the developmental state with a regional specialization in South and Southeast Asia. Within political theory, I am interested in how energy and climate change bear on the philosophy of social science, as well as points of intersection and conflict between Marx, Rawls, communitarianism, and American pragmatism.

Prior to Berkeley, I received a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Chicago.
