Course Description
Why do international organizations exist, and how do they work? What roles do they play in promoting cooperation, managing conflict, and addressing global challenges such as trade, climate change, and human rights? This course explores the politics of international organizations and their interactions with states and subnational actors. We will examine why countries create international institutions, how these institutions are designed, how they influence state behavior, and how effective they are in achieving their objectives.
