Tickets

Tickets are required for everyone except graduates and children 2 and younger. Each graduating student who signed up online(external link) to be in the Political Science Commencement Ceremony may pick up his/her two (2) free tickets in the Political Science Main Office in 210 Barrows between April 30 to May 11. Participating students must appear in person with their student ID. Free tickets will not be available on Commencement Day.

Additional tickets may be purchased through Cal Performances beginning Tuesday, April 24 in person at the Zellerbach Hall Ticket Office, by phone at (510) 642-9988, or online(external link) using a credit card. The Zellerbach Hall Ticket Office is located at the northeast corner of Zellerbach Hall on the UC Berkeley campus. Ticket Office hours are: Tues - Fri, 12 - 5:30 pm; Sat & Sun, 1 pm - 5 pm.

There is no limit to the number of tickets that may be purchased. Seating is general admission. Tickets are $6 in advance and $7 at the door (on Commencement day, the North Gate of the Greek Theatre) (fees subject to change). Additional charges apply if tickets are purchased by phone or online. Be sure to identify any guest between the ages of 3-12. Children under 12 are free but MUST HAVE a ticket.

On Commencement Day, tickets will be sold only at the North Gate of the Greek Theatre when the gates open at 8:00AM. Tickets will not be sold through the Political Science department.

Graduation Announcements

Graduation announcements are formal notices to send to family and friends announcing your graduation. Announcements come in two forms, generic or personalized, and can be purchased from the Cal Student Store(external link). Note: Announcements are formal notices, not invitations. You may include an invitation with your announcement.

Cap & Gown

Caps and gowns will be available for purchase at the Cal Student Store in the Graduation Department (lower level of the Cal Student Store(external link)) starting April 2nd. Questions should be directed to the store at 510-642-9000 x680 or 681.

Hoods

Masters and Doctoral students can rent hoods for the ceremony from the Cal Student Store(external link). You can also purchase your graduation gown and hood.

Honors Cords

Students completing their honors thesis in Political Science are eligible to wear an honors cord during the commencement ceremony. Cords will be conferred at the Honors Reception (students will be notified of the exact day and time via e-mail).

Professional Photographs

Professional photographs at the ceremony will be taken by Grad Images Photo.
